Who is that orc called Ogum ?
Ogum was born in the year 2000, in a submission I wrote to an independant comic book studio. In the begining he was nothing but some words on a sheet of paper. Instead of plainly submitting my skills to the studio, I wrote the whole thing as a dialogue inbetween two orcs named Ogum and Graak. Of course their discussion was about my submission and my portfolio.
Some time later while I was looking for some inspiration I doodled the first sketch featuring Ogum. Back then, he was taller and didn't look as funny as he does now and he quickly vanished in my sketchbook, just like my submission vanished in some obscure comic book studio's filling cabinet!
A few months later, I draw an ugly large bellied orc as a warmup exercice before I got to work on another project. Right then and there, just like magic, Ogum came back from the doodles to take over my life! He first convinced me not to let the 5 megs of diskspace that my former service provider granted me go to waste so I filled that up with quick dirty drafty strips. Ogum quickly settled in and invaded the whole 5 megs and then he threatend me so I'd pay up for a "dot com" and some more room. I then started to take a bit more time to draw the comics and added some color. Ogum's comics became my visual playground.
Since then, he appeared in the Augury, Librairie Donjon's monthly newsletter. He also almost self edited, sat still for a while and then almost died in silence between 2004 and 2006 from a flagrant lack of time and will on my part. But once again, Ogum came back from the sketchbook to take over the internet with his ridiculous jokes and his doubtful look so go ahead and read them all! By the way, if there's a strip that just doesn't sound funny yo you read it again or read the previous one. If it still isn't funny to you then perhaps it's just an unfunny juke but don't tell Ogum, he could get mad!
